Joining the team

To join the Dogs of War airsoft team you must complete a Basic Training Program. You are put in a group with other potential players and given the rank of 'Recruit'. This rule had to be put into place to avoid "walk on" players who came when it benefitted them and chipped away at the foundations of a great team by causing problems, question authority, attempting coups, stealing ammo, and trying to use us for our sponsorship.

Once in the Basic Training Program you will learn basics of airsoft and you will learn to work with the team members. This period lasts for three months. You must be present for ALL 9 practices to be given the title of Regular, making you an official Dog of War.

Once you graduate, you are given an AEG of the vets choosing after you have taken our oath of allegiance. "My blood is green and my soul is black. I am a Dog of War."

 Walk on players

Walk on players are welcome to play at the DOW fields as long as team is there that weekend. If you are a walk on player you must provide your own gun. As of right now the team does NOT rent guns. Starting Feb. 1, 2009 the Dogs of War will be charging ten dollars for all day play at the Middletown field. This money will buy ammo to be used at the field, and it will all be put towards the construction of our fields. NONE will go into our pockets. This fee is NOT to get money out of anyone. It is to make games more fun for everyone involved.
